Terms & Disclaimer
Simple terms for using ChatVault and this website.
Acceptance
By using ChatVault or this website (usechatvault.com), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use ChatVault.
Use at your own risk
ChatVault is provided as-is. You use ChatVault at your own risk. Features may change, and the MVP may have limitations or defects.
No guarantee of uninterrupted operation
We do not guarantee that ChatVault will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser update, ChatGPT change, or device configuration.
Backups are your responsibility
You are responsible for exporting and keeping backups of your saved insights. Browser storage can be cleared, profiles can be lost, devices can fail, and extension updates can affect local data. Export JSON backups regularly if you care about keeping your insights.
Encrypted vault passphrase
Encrypted local vault mode helps protect saved insights on this device. Your passphrase is not stored by ChatVault. If you forget your passphrase, ChatVault cannot recover your encrypted vault. We are not responsible for loss of access caused by a forgotten passphrase.
Not affiliated with OpenAI or ChatGPT
ChatVault is not affiliated with OpenAI or ChatGPT. ChatGPT and related names are trademarks of their respective owners. ChatVault does not claim partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement by OpenAI.
No liability for lost data
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChatVault and its operators are not liable for any loss of data, loss of access, lost profits, or other damages arising from your use of ChatVault, including but not limited to deleted browser storage, forgotten passphrases, failed imports/exports, device failure, or changes to ChatGPT or Chrome.
